Rocks

Slate1. A sedimentary rock that I use every day is rock salt by seasoning my food with it.

2. An igneous rock I use is obsidian because it is used in making knives which I use to cut things with.

3. A metamorphic rock I have used is slate because it is used for chalkboards.

Cars

I would choose the 2009 car because it would probably be cheaper than the 2010 car. The car would have to have good gas mileage and a good warranty.

Minerals

5 minerals that I have used before are silver, diamond, gold, graphite, and bauxite. I have used silver and gold in my necklaces, bracelets, and rings. I have used a diamond in my ring. I use bauxite in aluminum foil and graphite in pencils I use.

My favorite Map

My favorite map is the topographic map because at first I did not like it because of all the lines, but now I like it because I understand it now. When I look at the map now it is easy to read. I like how the lines tell you the elevation of things on the map.

Oceanography

Oceanography is the most interesting to me in earth science because there is so many types of living things in the ocean that are interesting and I am sure that there are a lot more that I have not learned about. There are a lot of species of fish that are able to do things that I would not think that they could do. Like there are different types of sharks that have different types of abilities to find their prey. Another thing that interests me about oceanography is that there are some parts of the ocean that have not been explored and I wonder what would be there if someone was able to see that part of the ocean.
